I’ve been close to becoming road pizza a few times, but thankfully nothing too close . I now always leave my office with a reflective coat, plus an extra in my truck. It blows my mind how poorly people drive as soon as they hit airport property.
And not just on the roadways, on the ramp and VSRs too.

About 3 months ago, at about the same time at night which was shortly after midnight we were at that exact place picking up the keys to the Hyundai Santa Fe we were renting.
I wonder why the architect chose to extend the entryway wall to form the counter end wall out of pou red concrete......

Its pretty common for vehicles to put the brakes on when the airbags deploy. I’m guessing that’s the case here.

Is it common for them to automatically illuminate the brake lamps as well? I’m guessing that the ABS motor is what sends pressure to the brake calipers in such an event? B ut the brake lamps are typically activated by a brake pedal switch... I do recall seeing some crash videos where the hazard lamps start flashing immediately after impact, but I dunno about brake lights.
